Cloud collar

The name “cloud collar” comes from the shape of this collar’s lobes, or petals, which are often layered. Women wore these collars over robes for special occasions. The cloud shapes represent abundance. At one time, the neck opening symbolized the Sky Gate (the entrance to heaven), and the lobes, pointing in four directions, represented the universe in miniature.

Of your accessories, which do you wear strictly for decoration and which have a function?

The accessories that I wear for strictly decorative purposes are my necklaces, rings, bracelets and unfortunately my watches. They both ran out of batteries so I just wear them to complete an outfit. I have around 20 bags, which all go to use, mostly for school and traveling. I also have many scarves that are both useful by keeping me warm and can be decorative. I only have a few hats and tuques mostly used for decorative purposes or when I’m too lazy to do my hair. I have gloves that I wear to keep me warm. I love all my accessories and think they’re all decorative, but a few are just purely decorative.
